TSF Academy Joins Byga

TSF Academy Chooses Byga as Technology Partner

The Byga team is excited to announce our new partnership with TSF Academy.

Founded in 2005,
TSF Academy is a top club in New Jersey with a strong history of excellence in player development. The club’s mission statement highlights their goal “to provide young players with an elite training environment and club culture.” Thanks to their player-centric focus and prioritization of long-term player development, TSF Academy was selected to be an official New York Red Bulls Academy Affiliate, giving players a direct pathway to a professional club. Players at affiliate clubs also benefit from “co-partnered elite player development and talent identification programs” as well as exposure to a high quality training environment. Learn more about their affiliation here:

From Byga CEO Afshin Shafie: “Every complex club needs a centralized platform that can help manage their entire club, not just one or two pieces. We’re delighted that an elite club like TSF Academy chose BYGA to streamline their club operations.”

TSF Academy teams compete in
MLS Next, the Elite Academy League, and EDP leagues as well as USYS leagues in Northern New Jersey. Club Directors have already begun using the Byga Director Dashboard to get a comprehensive view of their league standings.

TSF Academy recently held two “Elite Talent Identification” Events in collaboration with the New York Red Bulls Academy. While tryouts are currently complete, elite players in the Northern NJ regions who are looking to join a high quality training environment should reach out to TSF Academy.

The club TSF Academy grew from
The Sports Factory, a state of the art indoor soccer facility in Lincoln Park, New Jersey. Access to this high-quality facility allows the club to host events like the TSF Winter Showcase, which brought eight of the best NY/NJ clubs together for a live-streamed recruiting event. The club also hosts camps and has access sport-specific to physical training through Elite Performance Training Systems at The Sports Factory.

With field space at a premium, TSF Academy needed a facility scheduling tool that would help them to maximize their time. The centralized Byga field scheduling tool is a perfect match for the club’s needs.

The Byga team looks forward to helping TSF Academy with off the field operations and enjoying the club's continued success on the field.

The vision In 2001, Chris Baer and a group of Ohio Premier Soccer Club coaches traveled with their teams to play at the St. Louis Soccer Park (currently the World Wide Technology Soccer Park ), a six field soccer specific complex in Fenton, Missouri. When they got back to Ohio, they made a pact: to get Ohio Premier its own soccer complex Now, twenty years later, Ohio Premier boasts a five field complex with two full turf fields, two Kentucky bluegrass fields and a state of the art Bermuda grass field. “At the time, we were just a group of young, ambitious coaches with A licenses who wanted to keep challenging each other,” says Chris Baer. “We wanted to push each other and the club to improve. Having our own facility would allow us to do more for our players.” For the entirety of its history, Ohio Premier had rented fields from the city, competing with other clubs and sports for field space. The fields were grass, there wasn’t a single turf field in the area, and the club had to rent indoor facilities in the winter. Field rentals and facility costs were a significant portion of the club’s budget. When rental prices increased, the club began to seriously consider building its own facility The Ohio Premier board looked at building an indoor facility at first. “We spent so much on rentals in the winter that we thought it would make the most sense. Over time that idea evolved into building all-weather turf fields that would be playable all year long.” In addition to turf fields, Ohio Premier wanted fast-playing grass fields similar to those in Arizona and Southern California. “We would play against west coast clubs and our teams would be a step slower because we were used to playing on grass that just didn’t play as fast,” says Baer. “It was important to us to have a surface that would allow us to match their speed of play.” That meant that they wanted a full Bermuda grass field, a rarity in Ohio. Baer and the team knew what they wanted, but had no idea how to get it.
